What has been going on with our members:
We just had March Madness. The turnout was good despite
the poor weather and lack of members with running rigs. We had
about 15 rigs and 35 people in attendance. Lots of new faces
and some fun trails. Dinner was at hacienda. Free chips and
salsa baby!
Daryl (monkeyevil) is bringing the blingin renegade to the
next level. We are talking about some serious drive train
upgrades. Can you say the coolest jeep in the club? Stay
tuned!
Dave Kerwin's 4runner has finally moved after about a year of
not running, but not on its own power. Apparently the
remaining problem with it is that the engine is on the wrong
side of the vehicle. He will never wheel again.
Dave Brady is having a baby, a boy in fact. Consequently, the
sami got sold! Hopefully a new family friendly 4x4 will be in
the works. Praying for you guys!
We've had a few members graduate recently from college and a
few more that will be doing so soon. We've also had a few
members lose jobs/change jobs recently. Please keep all these
people in your prayers as they prepare for new steps in their
lives.
There have also been some health worries with family members.
It seems now that all are in good hands. Please continue to
pray for those who may be hurting.
Amber (fireangel) recently became employed, we are very happy
for her! She has also been working hard on charity and behind
the scenes stuff with the club, thanks!
Keith (CamoPhreak) has been doing some modeling. Apparently
his hot olive drab body is a big hit. But he may tear it up at
the badlands, we hope!
Brian (mntnbiker) went on a missions trip to Japan, is he
still there? Smile
And yes, he is still rockin with the band. Next appearance
will be annoucned soon. That plus he is going to joint he club
eventually, we think.
Benz97 has a secret modification to his TJ. All we know is
that the tires are bigger and he did a sweet hole dig in a
parking lot. Spill yer beans Ben!
A few of our members are in need of auto dealer licenses.
David Brady and Eric Day should team up and start a
dealership. This just in, Dave is thinning his inventory and
Eric is going solo. Eric what is your inventory status now?
Never sell the battle wagon, never!
To the limit competition with the Misfits was a blast! Casey
rolled, some dude ran over the bed of his own pickup, Dave
took teasing for the entire club, and we had some great food
and great wheeling. Huge bonfire was at night, thanks Rob!
Update: we had an alboy sighting at this event, too bad for
all who did not show!
Apparently the club is finally going to get another round of
sweet apparel like tshirts and hoodies. We will be wheelin in
style!
Tim Hower has been helping out a ton with planning events. If
you have ever seen Tim in action, you know he has it together!
We are glad he and the family made it back safely from
Australia. Stay in MI Tim!
Roger has some new plans for a trial rig. He has gone from
Bronco to CJ7, back to Bronco, and now possibly back to CJ7
again. I think I see a pattern emerging!
There have been rumors that Steve Tope will soon repair his
jeep and
quickly destroy it again. This time we are talking about the
whole jeep breaking in two pieces. Don't worry, he has a spare
frame and body in the back cargo area.
Darren is still really cool, but he shaved the multicolor
beard. We are sad.
Supposedly, there is a very top secret Toyota project, think
of jacob of steroids and style network. Watch the forums!
Eric, mister codered, may change up his rig. The club has
expressed their disappointment in desiring a full size rig.
Apparently nobody learned from PT when he wheeled a full size
rig. Big guy in a little truck... big guy in a ..
Steve Scudder has been busy helping with this newsletter, and
getting back into racing. He sold his bike and got a cool
little race car. Good luck Steve!
We may see a renewal of the mountain bike riding soon, there
will be a good opportunity to do some biking at the Luau in
June, so be there! We are happy summer is here, bout time.
Ben Schwan is busy at school, to become a diesel mechanic. So
for you really cool tow rig guys, Ben will be your repair man,
free of charge.
We got to know Ed a bit better at the March event, jeeps do
indeed rock. We also confirmed that his jeep is not purple, it
is actually red. Excellent.
Pigott is enjoying the ricer world. Hondas also rock, I think.
We are hoping for a reapperance of a jeep sometimes, and maybe
even his boy Riley!
Bob Larson and John Pike don't really get online, so we have
no clue. I would imagine that Cindy Larson still makes great
food and that John Pike still lives in Bangor.
Scott Mac is almost done building a new home. Last we heard of
the big Cherokee, it was filled to the brim with itmes for the
new home. Good luck!
We got to meet Jon Diroff (94xjguy), and his Cherokee is huge!
We hope to get to know you better at the next run!
Arizona Rob may take a break from the books and hit the
badlands. Do it Rob, get out of the box! Update: Rob is now on
33's, but he rubs the suspensions and fenders. Hopefully
spacers will do the trick!
Scooter is getting married soon, Marina is the coolest! I am
sure most of you saw his cherokee's glory at the last badlands
run, man that was hot!
Adam Mac is almost back from school, but the bad news is that
he is no longer 2.5 hundy. So next time you grant him a man
hug, not as much to love. We hope the rat yota has shocks now,
and that we will see him soon!
If we missed you, sorry, please do more noteworthy things
Thanks for reading,
